Report: Seahawks work out UFL wide receiver

It appears that Seattle is on the hunt for another receiver, after inviting Robbie Chosen to minicamp on a tryout basis and now reportedly hosting UFL receiver Ty Scott

The Seattle Seahawks are in their last week of the offseason program before taking a break of several weeks as they await the opening of training camp in late July. However, just because summer has arrived and it’s almost time for summer break, the front office and coaching staff seem to be intent on digging through potential additions at wide receiver.

On Monday reports emerged that the Hawks had invited wide receiver Robbie Chosen to mandatory minicamp on a tryout basis, and Tuesday Christian Paolantonio of ProFootballNewsroom reported that the Seahawks are kicking the tires on a UFL standout.

As noted in the post, Ty Scott finished the 2024 UFL season with 25 receptions for 418 yards and a trio of touchdowns in nine games for the D.C. Defenders. Scott signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent before being released just weeks later. The Chiefs then brought him back during training camp, but he was released at final roster cuts in August. During his time at Missouri State he hauled in 114 passes for 1,784 yards and 13 touchdowns in two seasons after transferring from Central Michigan.
