Every year, we do a community census asking where Field Gulls readers are based around the world. We’ve received responses from all across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, as well as dozens of countries outside of North America. It just shows you the global reach of the Seattle Seahawks.
One of our offshoot topics is where Seahawks fans have attended games in person, whether in existing stadiums or bygone venues like the Kingdome or the old Husky Stadium. We’ve seen many road games over the past 10-12 years in which Seattle fans have taken over opposition territory with loud “SEA! HAWKS!” chants.
The Seahawks have also played regular season games outside of the United States, including the 50-17 destruction of the Buffalo Bills at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada, the 27-3 stomping of the Raiders at Wembley Stadium in London, England, and the 21-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. The next time Seattle plays a designated “home” game outside of Seattle will be the first.
So many games, so many stadiums, so many options to choose from! Do you have any favorite/not favorite venues in all of your years watching Seahawks football? Share your stories below in the comments!
