We’re one month away from the Seattle Seahawks opening up their 2024 training camp. In the meantime, Seattle has made a few roster transactions.
As previously reported, UFL champion running back Ricky Person Jr is officially on the roster. The former Birmingham Stallions ball-carrier fielded offers from several NFL teams but opted for Seattle.
With Seattle’s roster at the maximum 90 players (as well as the exemption for international player Max Pircher), someone had to be let go in order for Person Jr to be on the team. Evidently the Seahawks saw it fit to move on from three undrafted free agent rookies:
- RB TaMerik Williams (North Dakota State)
- DE Rason Williams (Louisiana Tech)
- CB Ro Torrence (Arizona State)
Of the 16 UDFAs the Seahawks signed immediately following the NFL Draft, four have been let go. Former San Jose State quarterback Chevan Cordeiro didn’t make it past rookie minicamp.
Monday’s moves mean the Seahawks have two vacant spots, indicating that we’ll see some more roster tinkering to come over the next few weeks.
